Favored by both experienced and inexperienced PC users, Acronis True Image 2013 is an easy to use backup software program with an attractive interface. The most unique of its features is the ability to sync information, media and images across different devices, and its automatic continuous backup of changes to information. Most users appreciate its wide range of backup options. However, inexperienced users have been cautious of its many configuration options. Often, stating that these can be risky for new or inexperienced PC users. As a result of the need for easier options, and for more complex configuration options for experienced users, Acronis offers the True Image in two versions, the full and the Lite version. In this review will discuss the benefits of both.

Acronis True Image 2013 offers an easy installation process that presents itself with a simple “Get Started" screen. This outlines the full list of backup recovery features.
True Image 2013 offers data, photo, music, mail, media, contacts, calendar protection and more, all of this stored in your preferred storage method. It also has the added advantage in synchronizing this data backup between all of your devices. It is Windows a compatible, and is safe easy and reliable to use. It’s full features include:
- Sync technology that allows you to synchronize all of your information quickly.
- Disk partition features that allow you to resize your hard drive to whatever partition size you need (a feature that should only be used by experienced users).
- Disk Imaging, allowing experienced users to clone their disk including their operating system.
- NonStop Backup that automatically saves any changes you make to files on the supported system.

Acronis True Image Lite
Just recently released, this is a beta light version of True Image 2013. "What's the difference between the Lite version and the full version?" you might be asking. Well, this lighter version is a stripped-down version of True Image, making it ideal for personal use, or for those people that aren’t the ultimate tech geek.
This new release eliminates disk partition e-mail and file backup categorization. It only offers nonstop backup and online backup. You won't find a full or differential backup option here, just an incremental one. This version doesn't offer backups to CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray. There are none of the extensive settings you find in full version. Additionally there is no option to create a bootable recovery disc. However, most of the features that are not added in this lighter option, are only features that a very experienced computer user would want.
The True Image 2013 Lite version may still be your best option, especially if you are looking for a very easy to use and light application that will help you recover data, files, photos and media, without requiring you to understand every aspect of the backup process. With the Lite version you simply need to know that the program is continually backing up the changes you make. By taking away all the extensive, complicated features, True Image Lite 2013 becomes very easy to use.

True Image Lite eliminates the worry of pressing the wrong button or installing the wrong configuration - it is a ‘Press and Go’ version.
To create a backup using True Image Lite version, you just click the "Nonstop" backup button. Then choose the folders you want to store, the destination and your finished. Your files are protected and the backup system rescans these files about every 5 min.
The Cost Factor
If you have wanted to buy Acronis True Image backup software program, but the full version just doesn't seem to be within your budget, then at $29.99 the Lite version may just be the ticket. True Image Lite has minimal system requirements and can run comfortably on any PC running a Windows XP or newer Microsoft Windows version.
